At DuYe Moves, we believe in the power of shared spaces to bring people together. Whether you’re an organization, artist, teacher, or community group, we’d love to connect with you to explore and support you creating something special.  

Our Urban Oasis is a hub of creativity, connection, and community.

By partnering with us, you’re becoming part of a mission to make a safe third space for everyone to enjoy the summer with free and donation based programs and events. And we have a feeling we’re all going to need it.  If you are looking for a vibrant, inspiring space to host your an event, class, or gathering? DuYe Moves invites you to join us on the lush lawns of Governors Island this summer!

we seek to broaden our community and welcome organizations small and large, artists, performers and teachers into Beloved Community. As members of the Organization in Residence program through the Trust for Governors Island we are honored to be custodians of this space on Paggank, “Nut Island” on Lenape land. We are a small new community arts organization and we know the many challenges associated with finding venues to present, produce and create in.

As DuYe moves into our second season

What we offer:

Nestled on the lawns of Governors Island, our space offers a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that inspires creativity and connection.

  • House Manager: A member of volunteer team will be onsite to help you in the space

  • Basic sound equipment: Speakers and microphones

  • Lawn setup: Make use of our lawn blankets and pillows 

  • First floor access: to the house, We’re an outdoor programming house and will consider intimate groups of 20 or less for indoor programs  

  • Grow your reach and community: Providing free and/or donation based programs to the public programs is a fantastic way to expand awareness about your good works 

  • Bring your folks together: Provide a space for your current circle to gather 

  • Affordable Access: We’ll ask you to contribute nominally to the expenses of the space. 

Availability

Select weekends and weekdays from May to October

Hours: 9am - 6pm, suggested time frame 11am - 5pm
